I woke up this morning and there was no denying it…SUMMER is OVER…FALL has arrived. Temps were a mere 57 degrees in the NJ/NYC area.
A hell of a lot quicker than I would like…Summer is my FAVORITE season yet Fall has it’s place in my heart too.
Even with the crisp bite in the air I find a reason to get excited. The beauty of the leaves changing can’t be denied. Fall calls for sweaters, and puffy vest, riding boots…The start of Fall calls for a new wardrobe…or the desire for one.
Every time a new season begins I look into my closet…thinking I have nothing to wear…
New seasons are new reasons to reinvent yourself or treat yourself 😉 whatever works for you, lol
Below are items that are on my Fall Wish List:
I’ve never been a fan of trench coats. This one from VS looks great with a mix of feminine and masculine. I love the black outline. The color I want is the one shown, Dark Basil.
Express is my go-to store for work pants in longer lengths. Their regular pants have an inseam of 33″ perfect if I want to wear heels.
During the Summer I lived in the Ankle version on these pants. For Fall the longer version will be perfect for days when I want to wear flats or…
Riding boots are a staple of mine for Fall, Winter and Spring. I like these because they are a pull-on version. I cross my legs a lot and zippers on boots annoy me. *Tip* to keep the shape of the boots place some cardboard inside when storing away.
Cardigans are like potato chips to me…I can’t just have one. Old Navy never disappoints in this department. Yes they stretch five minutes after wearing but they aren’t expensive and if you dry on low heat they shrink back to a shape that won’t make you look like you’re wearing a sweater 2 sizes too small.
Regardless of the season camis go under my cardigans. Sometimes I button up the cardigan…Sometimes I leave open. A relaxed fit cami, like the one above is great because it isn’t so tight that it shows my non-six-pack abs but it isn’t so loose that I look like I’m wear a sheet.
On a chilly, brisk Fall day tunic sweaters or sweater dresses are my best friend. Pair with some leggings, jeggings, skinny jeans it is the perfect Fall cozy outfit.
Until the temps go below 40 I can be seen wearing flats. I find that with my hourglass shape whether I am wearing flared pants or skinny pants pointed toe flats look classy and more put together than basic round toe flats IMHO.
So there you have it…a few items from my Fall Wish List- Work Edition.
